“Sometimes I feel a little bit alone because I don’t feel like I belong to a specific group of people appreciating a specific type of music. Because I love a whole different range of music. I can do Folk. I love my Country music. There was a time in life where I loved Death Metal. You can put a certain song on and let people know how you’re doing too. Mum and Dad would be able to tell.
I still love Country but I think because I’ve recently moved into the granny flat, now I get a lot more “me” time where I do get to do my creative stuff and just listen to music. I do love the music of the 60s and 70s and I love the saxophone.
I was talking to Dad and Dad was explaining how you used to buy an album and you could really listen to the whole story of that album. You would listen from the beginning to the end. You wouldn’t put it on shuffle. Maybe I’m just a little bit old-fashioned. I like listening to stories through music from the musician’s perspective.
I’ve been brought up with Bruce Springsteen which has been good. And I really like Shania Twain and Glenn Shorrock too.”
My Dad has always been a Rolling Stones fan. I remember coming out of the show and the endorphins were absolutely pumping and we were all so happy and so pumped up. And everyone’s singing and walking back to the hotel singing all the songs and all together.
